There is a kid in all of us. Members of the Kampala Veterans Club showed that they too still had a child-like side last Saturday. They showed how it was done in their hey days. Going by the vigour in them, they are still in their hey days.

There is a kid in all of us. Members of the Kampala Veterans Club showed that they too still had a child-like side last Saturday. They showed how it was done in their hey days. Going by the vigour in them, they are still in their hey days.
Prof. Mondo Kagonyera stood in for Prime Minister, Apolo Nsibambi as chief guest. He only made the partying better as he confirmed that: “I am glad the Prime Minister has not been able to come.”
The members talked about their good old days and what makes people remain young. They talked of how Idi Amin (R.I.P) and his funny swimming tactics. After a sports activities, the veterans were not yet done. With veteran musicians like Fred Masagazi, Hadijja Namale and ballroom maestro Christopher Kato, there was no need of announcing the opening of the dance. Kagonyera, though off beat, proved his word –– dancing is healthy. But the best dancer of all was Dr. Louis Kasekende, the deputy governor of Band of Uganda. These old men and women showed they have “been there, done that”. With such energy, they will remain “doing it” for a long time.
