THE process of making the FUFA final draft constitution that will be sent to world soccer governing body, FIFA, for approval starts tomorrow.

“We want to meet and compare notes in meetings starting Thursday,” said FUFA normalisation committee secretary Patrick Isiagi.

The meetings are a follow-up of the federation’s regional workshops in Kampala, Gulu, Lira and Mbarara at the weekend. Stakeholders in the respective regions debated the proposed constitution drawn by the normalisation committee and gave ideas on modifications.

“We want to see what should be included from these ideas,” said Isiagi, who was on the FUFA team that was in charge of the Mbale meet.

FIFA is, according to its road map towards normalcy in Ugandan football, supposed to assess the proposed statutes before the ratification of the constitution by an extra-ordinary FUFA assembly and grassroots and national elections will be held.

The Dr. James Sekajugo committee’s mandate ends on December 31.
