Tanzanians win EA games

ST. Mary’s Kitende the soccer defending champions in the Federation for East Africa Secondary School Sports Association, (FEASSSA), lost the trophy to Makongo SS from Tanzania going down 4-2 in a post match penalty shoot out at Kakyeka stadium in Mbarara on Saturday.

ST. Mary’s Kitende the soccer defending champions in the Federation for East Africa Secondary School Sports Association, (FEASSSA), lost the trophy to Makongo SS from Tanzania going down 4-2 in a post match penalty shoot out at Kakyeka stadium in Mbarara on Saturday.

The two teams had tied one-all after normal time. Exous Murisho gave the winners the lead in the 10th minute before Mark Mwambu equalised for Kitende 15 minutes into the second half.

The score remained intact even after the allotted extra time prompting match referee to call for the penalty shoot out.
In girls soccer, Wiyeta SS from Kenya beat compatriots Nyabigena 2-0 to take the title.

Handball defending champions Kasawo girls (U) trounced Matuu of Kenya while Gombe SS beat Musingu of Kenya to lift the boys’ title.

Kitende beat rivals Gombe to retain the netball title.
