SEVEN Hills Impex, a private company providing alternative power saving inverters, is to invest $20m in power generation, the firm’s boss, NS Rao, said recently, write Felix Oketcho and Charles Bwogi.
Rao was hosting power consumers at Hotel Equatoria, Kampala. He said the investment would include power generation. This would be in addition to selling imported power inverters. Seven Hills are the sole distributors of Su-Kam products.
“We have so far invested $4m in a pilot project in alternative power inverters. But if the project is feasible, we shall invest $ 20m more,†Rao said.
