Both teams entertained a large crowd of 7,000 people at Pece Stadium with great football. TKL Gulu dominated the early exchanges before Farouk 'Ndieffi' Kalinzi scored.

Gabon’s soccer federation have sacked the national team's Brazilian coach Jairzinho — a member of Brazil's 1970 World Cup-winning side — following the team's 3-0 defeat by Angola in a World Cup qualifier this month. The defeat left the Panthers languishing fourth in Group Four.
