DOCTOR Aggrey Kiyingi’s nephew, charged with facilitating the murder of city lawyer Robinah Kiyingi, was yesterday released on a cash bail of sh1m.

His two sureties were bonded at sh5m.

Laban Kiwanuka, a driver at Dehezi International, paid the money shortly after the case was adjourned and left court in the company of his relatives.

Buganda road court magistrate Susan Kanyange released Kiwanuka.

Prosecutor Lillian Omara had opposed the bail, saying the suspect could interfere with the case but Kanyange over-ruled her.

Kiwanuka allegedly hired a UPDF soldier, Musa Nyanzi, to kill Dr. Kiyingi’s wife on July 11.
