Regions to parade U-14s

THE best U-14 players from 10 regions across the country converge at Old Kampala SSS on Saturday for the group stages of the Friends of Football (FOF) City Tyres Champions League, reports Norman Katende.
Super League sponsors City Tyres are funding the tournament that started with regional matches across the country.
According to David Katabira, organising secretary for FOF, each region has selected 18 players to make a team for the Kampala meet at Old Kampala SSS.
“For the past, the best teams made it to the Champion’s League but this time, we are having the best players from each region selected to make a final team in order to tap talent,†said Katabira.
Quarterfinals will be played on Sunday, semis- and final September 24-25. The teams are from West Nile, Gulu, Lira, Elgon Region, Nile Region, Buganda A, Buganda B, Bunyoro Kitara, Kampala and Western.
