UPDF marksmen come 8th in Kenya

UGANDA Peoples Defence Forces(UPDF) managed 8th position in the Vijana Cup contest at the armed forces rifle championships at Athi River in Nairobi on Wednesday.

UGANDA Peoples Defence Forces(UPDF) managed 8th position in the Vijana Cup contest at the armed forces rifle championships at Athi River in Nairobi on Wednesday.
Kenya’s ordinance corps claimed the title with 400 points while Tanzania People Defence Forces were second with 369. UPDF got 306 points.
UPDF took fifth position in the Snipers’ Cup that was won by a team from the 5th Kenya rifle.
Troops from Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda and the combined joint task force from the Horn of Africa are taking part in the championships aimed at sharpening their shooting skills against moving targets.
