<b>Bribe trial</b><br>KAMPALA — Court has ruled that an army officer charged with soliciting a bribe of sh500,000 from a businesswoman has a case to answer.

KAMPALA — Court has ruled that an army officer charged with soliciting a bribe of sh500,000 from a businesswoman has a case to answer. 2nd Lt. Mangeni Musana, attached to the Joint Anti- Terrorism Task Force, appeared before Buganda Road Court Chief magistrate Margaret Tibulya, who said evidence against Musana was sufficient to put him on his defence.

Thief jailed

MUBENDE — A cellphone thief has been sentenced to six months imprisonment. Rashid Bbosa, of Kasaana appeared before a grade two magistrate Francis Ojukhan. Prosecution said on September 14 that Bbosa stole Paul kabagambe’s Motorolla phone.

Man charged

KAMPALA — A 62-year-old businessman was recently charged with obtaining sh25m by false pretence. Fred Mukwaya appeared before Buganda Road Court chief magistrate Margaret Tibulya and denied the charge.
