Parliament has called for proposals from the public on the draft Presidential Elections Bill 2005 and the Parliam-entary Elections Bill 2005.

Parliament has called for proposals from the public on the draft Presidential Elections Bill 2005 and the Parliam-entary Elections Bill 2005.
Bernard Eceru, Parlia-ment’s senior public relations officer, said in a statement yesterday the House had been adjourned to October 10 to enable the legal and parliamentary affairs committee conduct public hearings on the Bill.
“Members of the public interested in contributing to scrutiny of the electoral draft laws intended to facilitate the transition and the general elections next year are advised to obtain bills from outlets of the Uganda Printing and Publishing Corporation and appraise themselves of the proposals,†he said.
