Do you know what taekwondo is? It is a kind of fightinh that started in Korea. You use your fists and feet to defend yourself.
Recently, some children were involved in the Inter Junior School’s taekwondo championships. The competition took place at Aga Khan Primary School last weekend.
JAFFREY Nursery School won the competition after beat off the challenge of five schools to claim their first taekwondo title. Daffodils Nursery School put Jaffrey on pressure throughout the one-day competition but came second.
While their sister school, Jaffery Primary School came third.
The tournament attracted over 80 boys and girls from Aga Khan Nursery, Makerere, Aga Khan Nursery, Kololo, Daffodils Nursery School, Jaffery Nursery School, Jaffery Primary School and Aga Khan Primary School.
