THE World Bank has provided $27m (sh50b) to help set up the Namanve industrial park.
Trade and industry state minister Jennifer Namuyangu said this during a press briefing at the Uganda Manufacturers Association’s offices in Lugogo, Kampala, recently.
The Government will set up an industrial park in Namanve, a Kampala suburb, where industrialists will be allocated land with buildings.
Namuyangu said industrialists have been complaining about unprogrammed loadshedding, which disrupts their businesses.
She said loadshedding, which is a major problem of industrialists, will be no more at the industrial park.
