BUGANDA Road Court has summoned bamunanika county MP Ali Ndawula over charges of issuing two fake cheques to a city businessman in August 2002.
Issuing the summons yesterday, Grade One magistrate Gasta Mugoya said a warrant of arrest would be issued against Ndawula if he fails to turn up before the court on November 1.

Student dead

THE body of a Kenyan student has been recovered at Katosi, along the shores of Lake Victoria three days after he disappeared from school. Central region Police chief Grace turyagumanawe yesterday said Daniel Njoroge of Hilton High School in Mukono, went missing on Sunday.

Army kills

THE army killed 10 LRA rebels on the border of the DR Congo and southern Sudan during pursuit of the rebels that ambushed a UPDF convoy on Friday. The UPDF defence and army affairs officer at the Uganda Media Centre, Capt. Paddy Ankunda, yesterday said the rebels were attacked at Lasu village about 18km west of the border on Tuesday.

Dad charged

A 49-YEAR-old father who allegedly defiled his daughter was on Monday charged with defilement. Prosecution said emanuel Ndawula of Musigula zone in Rubaga committed the crime between March and August, this year.
