The regents know their job well

SIR — On October 17, the Queen Mother of Toro Kingdom Best Kemigisa is reported to have opposed the appointment of the new Omuhikirwa (prime minister).
SIR — On October 17, the Queen Mother of Toro Kingdom Best Kemigisa is reported to have opposed the appointment of the new Omuhikirwa (prime minister).
She claimed that the appointment was done without the consent of Omukama Oyo and the kingdom officials.
It seems she is no conversant with the roles of the regents. The regents of the omukama were put in place to act on his behalf since he is still a minor.
They were consulted to appoint the Omuhikirwa and this was done successfuly. When the Omukama comes of age there will be no more need for the regents.
