Sh1m paid

IGANGA — Vice-President Prof. Gilbert Bukenya has fulfilled a sh1m pledge to Nambale Co-operative Savings and Credit Society. Bukenya pledged the money in July, while on a poverty eradication tour of the area to improve household income, a statement issued last week by the vice-president’s press unit said.

Fuel crisis

SOROTI — A fuel shortage has hit the district, forcing motorists to ground their vehicles. All six filling stations in the town have had no fuel in the last three weeks. Caltex manager Robert Lakidi said they were waiting for head office to help them out.
