A housewife was charged with the theft of sh20m on Tuesday. Maria Pinto of Kansanga zone, who was charged with obtaining money by false pretence, uttering a false document and forgery, denied the charge before Buganda road court chief magistrate Margaret Tibulya.
Men jailed

TWO men were sentenced to four years imprisonment on Monday for threatening violence against their grandmother Catherine Namukasa, 75, over land. Thomas Kalibala, 33 and Stanley Kabubi, 25, of Kalerwe in Sebina zone, were sentenced by KCC grade one magistrate Esther Nambayo.

EIGHTY-six warrants of arrest have been issued out against suspects on the run after they were released on bail by the Buganda Road Court. Chief magistrate Margaret Tibulya issued the warrants following a request by prosecutors.
