SIR — I watched the body of Ibrahim Ssengendo, the boy killed in the Makerere riot, on WBS TV. I have also seen his picture in the press. Indeed, he must have been trampled upon in a stampede, as the Police say.

His clothes and head were so clean there is no doubt he died in a stampede! If he was hit by a rubber bullet, it was a special one. Instead of a bruise, the skin was punctured!
