AS Maputo becomes a luring tourist destination in Africa, Kenya Airways (KQ) and Polana Serena Hotel in Mozambique have come up with a package for clients flying to the city.

KQ’s Uganda manager, Emmanuel Okware, said, “We are introducing two weekly flights to Maputo because it is one of the many upcoming tourist destinations in Africa.”

Okware said Mozambique has many cultures and scenic splendours to explore and enjoy, from the vibrant city of Maputo to the tranquil islands with white, sandy beaches.

He said the package would be cheaper compared to when a client buys an air ticket and books accommodation separately.

Okware said the flight would cost $550 (about sh1m) minus taxes.
The resident manager, Rahim Azad, said, “The Polana hotel on the bay of Maputo epitomises the luxury and hospitality of time gone by.”
