Man jailed
A Man, who reportedly stole shoes and property worth sh400,000, was on Monday sentenced to 18 months in jail.
Joseph Kaliisa of Kabowa denied the charges before Mwanga II Court Grade Two Magistrate Charles Yeteise. The prosecutor said Kaliisa committed the offence on August 9.

Case on

Court will December 7 decide whether Rubaga Division LC3 chairman Justin Ssendikaddiwa has a case to answer over charges of assaulting a councillor.
State prosecutor Gabriel Okello said ssendikaddiwa kicked Stanley kaggwa after a disagreement.

Trader held

A trader of Kisekka market, who reportedly defiled his sister’s three-year-old daughter, was on Tuesday charged with defilement. The prosecutor told City Hall grade one magistrate that Godfrey Kiwanuka of Kyebando committed the offence on October 2.

Five dead

A TOTAL of 202 accidents occurred in Kampala in the last week, leaving five people dead, the Police have said.
Kampala extra regional traffic chief Sarah Kibwika said five accidents were fatal, 54 were serious and 143 were minor. She was addressing the weekly press briefing at Central Police Station on Monday.

One charged

A receptionist with Comboni missionary Sisters, Mbuya church, who reportedly stole sh17m, was on Tuesday charged with theft. Rose Ajambo denied the charge before Buganda road court magistrate Francis Kaggwa and was remanded in Luzira prison after prosecution said the suspect might jump bail.
