Kayanja joins Tinyefuza
President Yoweri Museveni has deployed Col. Elly Kayanja to the office of General David Tinyefuza, the coordinator of External and internal Security organisations.

President Yoweri Museveni has deployed Col. Elly Kayanja to the office of General David Tinyefuza, the coordinator of External and internal Security organisations.
Kayanja’s deployment was effective from last Tuesday.
Until he was sent for a one-year course at the Senior Command and Staff College in Kimaka, Jinja, Kayanja was the Director General of the internal Security organisation (ISO). His appointment leaves Dr. Amos Makumbi in charge of ISO.
“Kayanja has been sent to Gen. Tinyefuza’s office by the Commander-in-Chief,†acting army spokesman Major Felix Kulaigye said yesterday.
Kayanja was also commander of ‘Operation Wembley’, an anti-crime crack unit. Later, he was sent for an advanced military training in Russia.
