Toro aids NUFFA

VOICE Of Toro FM yesterday joined SOS and Aquifer Tours and Travel to sponsor the National Union of Football Fans Association (NUFFA) symposium at Kyambogo on Friday.

VOT FM’s Michael Wandera handed over a sh1m cheque in aid of the symposium to NUFFA treasurer Francis Ntalazi at Blue Africa. They also unveiled a detailed programme for the one-day symposium.

NUFFA’s Patrick Kalungi said that the VOT gesture was a boost towards giving Ugandan football fans a voice in development of the game.

Kalungi said that Germany embassy deputy head of mission Holger Feuberc, secretary of Libyan Arab People’s Bureau Abdalla Bujeldian, EU delegate Uwe Bergmeir, state sports minister Charles Bakkabulindi, Jon Lynam and Petro Tombaccini of the Irish and Italian embassies respectively would chair different sessions at the symposium.

The symposium theme: “To sin by silence when we should protest makes cowards out of football fans.”
