Earlier this year, we brought you a list of the latest crop of Kampala's eligible bachelors. Some of our readers felt that without representing the ladies' side, the scale had not balanced. In this issue, Sebidde Kiryowa and Elvina Nawaguna present what they feel are some of Kampala's most notable single women and what they say about men.
At 26, she is one of the youngest on this list but Angella is hard to miss. Not least because the tabloids recently purported she was still a virgin. She flew into Kampala from Chicago in the second half of last year and took the city by storm. She is gorgeous, sexy and can sing! But Angella is also sociable, intelligent and educated (she has a degree in law, another in economics and a masters in human resource management from Oxford University). Did I mention that she is loaded? She is the daughter of tycoon Bonny Katatumba. “People have approached me but you see I’m very emotional. I believe in Mr. Right in the long run and not Mr. Right now!†she says.
