Bukenya to quit Wakiso NRM chairmanship

VICE-President Prof. Gilbert Bukenya is to relinquish his position as Wakiso district National Resistance Movement (NRM) chairman to embark on a bigger task as party vice-chairman in the central region.

VICE-President Prof. Gilbert Bukenya is to relinquish his position as Wakiso district National Resistance Movement (NRM) chairman to embark on a bigger task as party vice-chairman in the central region, writes Vision Reporter.

“I will soon relinquish my position as NRM chairman for Wakiso and open up an office in Kampala for the central region,” he said.

Bukenya said this on Friday while hosting hundreds of NRM party delegates to a party at his Garuga home off Entebbe road, to thank them for electing him vice-chairman for the central region in the just concluded delegates’ conference.

He said government was determined to eradicating poverty from all regions.
