Kulika announces scholarships

KULIKA Charitable Trust has scholarships for the academic year 2006/07. The scholarships, tenable at any university in Uganda, include those for postgraduate studies, institutional capacity building as well as diploma and certificate programmes.

KULIKA Charitable Trust has scholarships for the academic year 2006/07. The scholarships, tenable at any university in Uganda, include those for postgraduate studies, institutional capacity building as well as diploma and certificate programmes.

Those applying for post-graduate programmes needed to have scored a minimum of a second class degree – lower division. Institutions applying for capacity building must forward candidates considered suitable for postgraduate studies who passed with a minimum of a Second Class Degree – Lower Division.

Applicants for the diploma and certificate scholarships must have had good grades at Advanced Level or its equivalent.

The scholarships are limited to the fields of agriculture, engineering, human and veterinary medicine, education, disability studies, architecture, counselling, environmental studies, food science and technology, surveying, finance and vocational studies.

All the applicants must show evidence of admission or that they are admissible and should have two-years working experience.

Their letters of application should state the reasons for selecting a particular programme and future plans after obtaining the qualification.

They should also include copies of their academic certificates, a detailed curriculum vitae, addresses of three competent referees one of whom should be academic.
