ALTHOUGH, the Corporate League (CL) is meant to bring teams together and have fun in a corporate way, some teams think otherwise.

Both vying for the top spot, Kabojja S.S and UTL played roughly in their game, to the extent that a UTL player was hospitalised with a bloody nose. The referee later reconciled the two sides. Kabojja won the game 1-0.
After three wins and one draw, New Vision (NV) surged in the top 10 out of the 31 participating teams. NV later beat the Invaders, a women’s team, 4-1.
By press time, Bata, Bro Group, Uganda Breweries, UTL, and City Tyres were leading the table standings respectively.
Walkovers that meant either a team not showing up or not honouring some games included Daily Monitor, Weekly Observer, Multichoice, Allied Bank, and Royal Zanten(flower firm).
The climax of the CL will be the prize giving ceremony at Hotel African on December 2.
