BONIFACE Kiprop on Sunday evening failed to beat Tariku Bekele, Kenenisa Bekele’s younger brother in the season’s second leg of the IAAF Cross Country permit season in Spain. Kiprop was 10 seconds behind Tariku.

Two cleared
NTUNGAMO and Sironko have been relieved of the burden of being mere observers in the December 17 FUFA presidential polls. The two districts now have voting rights after being cleared. Returning officer Patrick Okanya said they were found to have fulfiled all demands required of districts to participate in the FUFA assembly.

KAVC to host
KAMPALA Amateur Volleyball Club (KAVC) will host this year’s two months secondary school clinic starting Monday at Lugogo. KAVC secretary Mofaht Masaba, who is also one of the instructors, said the clinic is to enhance competence among school children who form base of the game.

Strikes by Alex Katete (8th), Stephen Serunkuuma and Daniel Serunkuuma (70th & 80th) saw Ndiga storm the Baganda clans soccer tournament finals where they are pitted against Ffumbe on Saturday at Nakivubo. Ndiga beat Lugave 3-2 on aggregate while Ffumbe eliminated Nkima on spot kicks.
