SIR — I don’t like John Nagenda (don’t ask me why) but I can’t help admiring him. While Ofwono Opondo, Karoro Okurut, Onapito Ekomoloit, Moses Byaruhanda and Robert Kabushenga see no evil and hear no evil and are always busy chorusing His Masters Voice, Nagenda, of all the ‘King’s Men’, can sometimes be stunningly honest. I particularly liked his article on saturday. His analysis could never have been more correct when he likened Janet Museveni’s decision to run for a parliamentary seat, to Edward Mutesa’s acceptance of Uganda’s presidency 40 years ago. He writes of Mutesa, “....... Some of us wailed. We were proved right. Now again?” I wish Mrs Museveni and her praise singers could read Nagenda’s logic. He has read the situation perfectly and is forthright about t.
