Netball gets place at All Africa games

NETBALL has been drafted into the All Africa Games, with eight teams set to feature in the 2007 edition in Algiers, Algeria.

The news was communicated to an East Africa Netball Association council meeting in Nairobi on Wednesday by Confederation of African Netball Association (CANA) secretary-general Sharifa Khamis Salim of Zanzibar.

Salim, also the EANA chairperson, said the decision to allow netball as a medal sport at the games was made at a meeting of African sports ministers November 27-29 in Algeria.

Prisons take on JKU in the other semifinal.
