UGANDANS in America will watch WBS TV through a live linkage with American Jump T.V. com in January next year.
The managing director of Jump TV, Kaliel D Tuzman, signed an Internet protocol for transmission of programmes from Uganda with the executive director of WBS, Elvis Wavamunno on Wednesday in Kampala.
“We need to have a lead communication in Africa because there is lack of connection with the rest of the world in relation to business transactions. This partnership will enable Ugandans market their products through advertisements. It will also enable Ugandans have direct link to events at home,†Tuzman said.
Jump Television is a private American television that owns 88 stations and operates in 20 countries worldwide.
Accessibility of WBS TV in the US will be at a subscription fee of $9 (sh16,470) per month and $120 (sh219,600) annually.
“Our vision is to bring the rest of world together by first linking Africa to 10 channels out of the 102. We only have access to one channel in South Africa,†he said.
