SIR – The Electoral Commission has taken a wonderful decision by allowing Col. Kizza Besigye to be nominated. I think it would be illegal to deny Besigye that chance when he has not yet been convicted of any of the offences against him. While Dr Besigye can be convicted of some or all of these offences, he is yet to be convicted.
