OTUKE MP Daniel Omara Atubo has vowed to hold a demonstration if the government does not address the insecurity situation in the internally displaced persons (IDPs) camps in the north.
He said this at a security meeting at Lira district council hall on Thursday. The meeting was organised by the Lango Parliamentary Group to address the security situation in Lango sub-region.

Uganda Martyrs university has appointed an Irish professor, Deirdre Carabine, as its new deputy vice-chancellor.
The vice-chancellor, Prof. Michel Lejeune, yesterday said Carabine would replace Prof. Peter Kanyandago, whose contract ends this month. She will assume her new role on January 1, 2006.

Loser slams
