<b>K’jong raid</b><br>Nairobi — About 50 armed men believed to be Karimojong warriors from Kotido in Uganda attacked a manyatta in Turkana district in Kenya on Monday, killing one herdsman and injuring two others.

Nairobi — About 50 armed men believed to be Karimojong warriors from Kotido in Uganda attacked a manyatta in Turkana district in Kenya on Monday, killing one herdsman and injuring two others. Police officer Bernard Muli said on Tuesday Kenya’s security personnel repulsed the raiders before they could take any animals.

Clerk leaves

Lira — Former Lira municipal town clerk Paul Ogwal Olule handed over office to his successor George Adoko last Friday after a long row with the district service commission. The district education officer, Joan Pacoto, was also dropped in the restructuring exercise.

LRA killed

GULU — More six LRA rebels have been killed by the UPDF in three separate incidents in Gulu, Kitgum and Pader districts, bringing the number of rebels killed within this week to 13, army publicist Lt. Chris Magezi said on Wednesday.
