Kayanja aids northern children

Pastor Robert Kayanja of Rubaga Miracle cathedral is slated to give out a trailer-load of items to children in the internally displaced persons’ camps in northern Uganda and various orphanages.
He said the over 100,000 new items, including clothes and toys, were a donation from Dr. Rob Thompson, the senior pastor of Family Harvest Church in the USA.
“It’s a wonderful thing when you receive something new and Christmas will come early for the children in miracle centre orphanages, internally displaced camps, in Luzira prison and those from the Rubaga community,†Kayanja said.
He was addressing a press briefing at Rubaga Miracle centre on Thursday.
He said it was time to break the generational curse in Uganda and start by blessing the children with gifts.
“Many children are born in prisons but God is at work among the children of our nation and one of the things we are thriving to do, is to give support to the youn-ger generation,†he said.
Kayanja said it was the desire of the church to see that children all over Uganda received a special Christmas to mark the birth of Jesus Christ.
