SIR — Prof John Ssebuwu’s contract as Makerere University’s vice chancellor has been extended yet again! Apparently, he seems to be the only man with a vision for Makerere. Since it takes light years to replace a vice chancellor, we suggest that Ssebuwufu be declared a life vice chancellor and
SIR — Prof John Ssebuwu’s contract as Makerere University’s vice chancellor has been extended yet again! Apparently, he seems to be the only man with a vision for Makerere.
Since it takes light years to replace a vice chancellor, we suggest that Ssebuwufu be declared a life vice chancellor and we get on with our lives. We will still teach without any problem. We are getting rather weary of people with vision whichever way we turn.

SIR — I suggest that Prof Ssebuwufu and Prof Opio Epelu have served Makerere University long enough. They should retire.
