FEDERATION of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) emergency committee that met yesterday at the FUFA House in Mengo decided to give Top TV only one week to withdraw from court and find an arbiter or go on with the fixtures of this season’s league.

“If they do not come up with an arbiter by next week, we will definitely go on with the fixtures.

We do not mind whether they get the minister (Henry Okello Oryem) as an arbiter but what we want is for them to come out of court,” FUFA secretary Haruna Mawanda said yesterday.

Mawanda said that though they have tried to counsel Top TV, they have turned a deaf ear and refused to follow the laid out procedures that govern football in the world.

“As long as Top TV is still in court, we will forget them. All the wise counsel is just falling to deaf ears. They are ill advised and we will not allow them to hold us on.”

Top TV had its application to freeze FUFA’s organisation of this season’s league thrown out by court.
