THE Police in Mbale have arrested a 33-year-old-man for cutting off his wife’s left ear over festive shopping, reports Irene Nabusoba.
Wamaniala of Buwanzala village allegedly attacked the victim in the night in their marital home, accusing her of asking for festive shopping at a wrong time and place.
He was allegedly with a new girlfriend at a friend’s place when his wife, Irene Mutenyo, 28, stormed their hiding place, demanding money for shopping.
Mutenyo’s father, Abdul Bwayo, said Wamaniala gave the wife only sh200 with instructions to stay awake and wait for him.
A Police officer who preferred anonymity said Wamaniala would be charged with causing aggravated body harm.
