Readers of Bukedde are set to win cash prizes totalling sh20m in a two- month game dubbed Bingo, which will kick-off on Monday.
To participate in the game of numbers, a reader only has to buy a copy of Bukedde, which will contain the game cards. The The New Vision and Bukedde for tomorrow will also contain the cards.
Bukedde will publish the winning numbers every week. All a reader is supposed to do is look at the numbers on his card and those in the Bukedde newspaper.
Tom Wasswa (right), the circulation manager, yesterday said the numbers corresponding to the ones in the day’s paper were supposed to be marked with a cross.
“The winners will by the end of the week have all the numbers in their boxes crossed,” he said.
. When one week ends, we will start afresh during the next until the game ends,” he said.
Wasswa said Bukedde would give its readers sh2.5m every week. “If we have one winner then that person will take all the money but it will be shared if we have more than one,” he said.
Bukedde editor Maurice Ssekawungu said Bingo was a way of giving back something to the readers.
“This is a sign of appreciation to our readers. They support us a lot and they mean a lot to us,” he said. Ends
