LEAF Tobacco Company Limited (LTC), makers of Supermatch cigarettes improved their tax collections to Government last year from just sh49m previously to sh600m per month since last June.

“The more challenges we face, the more we toughen.

These challenges will come to an end and the directors, workers and Government will all benefit,” LTC public relations consultant Dr. David Kamukama said during the staff end of year party held at Sports View Hotel Kireka recently.

Mamerito Mugerwa, the Kira Town Council mayor officiated at the function.

Kamukama said plans were underway to expand their tobacco warehouses in the tobacco growing areas of Arua, Yumbe and Koboko in the West Nile region.
