THE Police are looking for a woman who allegedly dumped her one-and-a-half-year-old child into a pit latrine and disappeared with all the household property, reports Robert Ale.

Firida Mbonye, wife of Francis Byabiguma of Luteete village in Madudu sub-county in Mubende, reportedly decided to leave her husband on new year’s eve following a domestic dispute.

The dispute was caused by their money that went missing after sale of their produce.
According to the LCI chairperson, Francis Sennyonga, Byabiguma allegedly ferried three bags of dried beans that he reportedly sold at sh25,000.

Ssenyonga said Byabiguma went for a drinking spree up to first of the year and reportedly returned home with no money.

His wife, who asked to know how much they had received from the harvested beans, was reportedly told never to utter anything regarding the sale of beans.

Byabiguma also ordered his wife to concentrate on her child.

This is said to have angered the wife, who later after Byabiguma had fallen asleep, packed all valuables and left the home, after dumping her daughter in a pit latrine.

She was recovered the next day, but died shortly before reaching a health centre where she had been rushed for treatment.
