KASESE — At least 42 people died and 153 others were seriously injured in road accidents last year. The district traffic Police chief, Wilfred Chwinyai, in his annual report released recently, said 67 road accidents were recorded in the district. He, however, said there was an improvement in road discipline.

KAMPALA — The Military Court Martial yesterday sentenced a man to three years in prison for unlawful possession of a firearm. Musa Magoba pleaded guilty to the charges against him before the court sitting at Makindye.
