PALLISA secretary for education Damian Damba has said any primary school head teacher whose school fails to get any first division grade in last year’s Primary Leaving Examination (PLE) results due soon, will be dropped.

He said such head teachers would lose their posts in the reshuffle expected before the beginning of term one.

Damba was speaking during a capacity-building workshop for head teachers and members of the school management committees (SMCs) at Nagwere Hall in Pallisa town on Tuesday.

He said the move would instill hard work in the head teachers and their staff to improve academic standards in the district.

Officials said the district had received sh40m from the Ministry of Education for capacity building to improve primary schools management and academic performance.

They said the money would be used to train head teachers and SMC chairpersons in planning, information and records management.

The deputy RDC Robinah Nabbanja cautioned participants against harassing teachers who refuse to take part in corruption.
