LIRA district sports officer Mike Alele, is dead. He died of diabetes at Mulago Hospital.

LIRA district sports officer Mike Alele, is dead. He died of diabetes at Mulago Hospital.
Alele was buried at his ancestral home in Angwetngwet, Erute County near Lira town. He is survived by a widow and five children.
Alele acted as district sports officer from 1986 until was confirmed in 1994.
NCS official John Odyek described Alele as a man who lived by example.
The Lira CAO, Daniel Odwedo, described him as a hard working officer, which enabled the district win many trophies.
