Sell off undeveloped plots in city
SIR — The mayor of Kampala, Mr John Sebana Kizito recently warned the owners of vacant plots in the city centre that they should develop them or they would be sold off. I think this decision is long overdue.

The buildings which used to stand on these plots were destroyed in 1979 and it is nearly a quarter of a century since then! Why should the capital city of Uganda look like that?
If their owners cannot re-develop them they should go to those who are able or at least they should by law, be madegreen areas in the city centre. I am particularly thinking of the plot between CPS and kampala Road.
