SC Villa president Franco Mugabe yesterday named a powerful new executive committee comprising six fresh faces to run the club for three years.

SC Villa president Franco Mugabe yesterday named a powerful new executive committee comprising six fresh faces to run the club for three years.
Mugabe, given a fourth year term at the club’s assembly in December, picked the executive as mandated by the club constitution.
Uganda’s ambassador to Rwanda Adonia Ayebare, George Baguma, David Katumwa, Robert Kamya, Deborah Ssembatya and UPDF officer Colonel Kivuna Poteli are the new faces.
Ayebare is in charge of international relations, Baguma is the branches coordinator, Katumwa is welfare chief, Kamya is an honourary member while Ssembatya and Poteli are committee members. Kamya takes over from Eriab Kamya.
Mugabe, whose new term expires in 2006, retained five officials as chairmen while veteran administrator Balamaze Lwanga returned as the patron.
Mugabe took over from the club’s founder chief, the late Patrick Kawooya in 1993.
