Policeman charged
MAKINDYE — A Police officer attached to Kisugu Police post, Abdunuhu Nyanzi, was on Monday charged with defilement at the magistrates' Court. Prosecution alleged that Nyanzi committed the offence on January 10, at Wabigalo when he had sex with a minor. He was remanded at Luzira prison until February 17.

LC boss on theft charges
MAKINDYE — The LC1 chairman of Nakigalala B Zone, Levi Asia and three others were charged with theft and assault at the magistrates' court last week. They stole sh60,000 at Nakigalala labour camp where they pretended to be making an operation, court heard. They all denied the charges and were remanded at Luzira till February 20.
