KUMI – The chief administrative officer, Rose Ochom, has decried the lack of latrines in Olungia parish. She said this at a fundraising function for Eseparia Eterete, a needy person found living in a hollow tree trunk, recently. She advised the health department to organise mass sensitisation on sanitation before disaster struck.

Cops arrest
NJERU – The Police on Monday arrested seven people in a swoop. The suspects were arrested at a bar during the wee hours of the morning. The bar owner, Irene Abo, was arrested with five of her customers identified as James Mukasa, Habibu Kiiza, David Nabeta, Naigaga and R.Babirye.

Kumi gets
KUMI – The district leaders have received sh5m for the Lake Kyoga Integrated Management Programme. The district fisheries officer, David Osengor, said this during a recent five-day workshop to equip fishermen in the handling of fisheries in the district.
