By Solomon Muyita and Angel Lubowa UGANDA’S controversial Professor Charles Ssali has taken his Mariandina “AIDS drugs†to West Africa, where he was offered a base.
The National Food and Drug Administration Council of Ghana last week licensed Dr. Ssali to start manufacturing Mariandina products: A, B and J, for both local use and export to whoever needs it.
He also secured an operational license in Nigeria, The Comet, a Nigerian daily has reported.
Mariandina “natural energy and immune system booster pills†will now be Ghanaian products, having failed to be licensed in Uganda.
The newspaper reported that the products were launched in Ghana and Nigerian last week.
Ssali, 74, told The New Vision that drug authorities of the West African countries had been testing his natural therapies since 2001. Ends
