SELF-exiled former presidential candidate Col (rtd) Dr. Kizza Besigye has condemned the weekend massacre of an estimated 190 Barlonyo IDPs by suspected LRA rebels.

“The perpetrators of these heinous crimes must be condemned in the strongest possible terms; and it’s time for all persons, countries and organisations of goodwill to get up and put an end to the calamity.

“President Museveni and his government must abandon the military solution, and irrevocably commit themselves to a peace process,” Besigye said.

In a statement entitled collective guilt over the Barlonyo massacre, Besigye, who is the Reform Agenda head, also advised government to abandon its military option and seek dialogue to end the conflict.
