SOME councillors in Mbarara are complaining that the sh2b district administrative block is being constructed on land which belonged to former Ankole king, Sir Charles Gasyonga, reports
Gasyonga was the father of Prince John Barigye.

The chairman Mbarara district council, Fred Ibabaza Kamugira, said the council has a land title for the premises on which they are constructing the three-storey building.

“These councillors are just after something else. Why is it that they kept quiet when my predecessor (Justin Sabiti) was constructing six permanent residential houses on the same premises?” Kamugira asked.
