IT is a tough race between athletes Boniface Kiprop, Dorcus Inzikuru and golf and tennis player Charles Yokwe, but at the end of the day, one will take the top honours at Speke Resort Munyonyo today.
Toro King Oyo Kabamba Iguru will crown the best among the three, to mark the climax of the annual USPA Gala event, which sees the greatest sports achievers in the different disciplines being recognised for their performance by sports journalists.
“We are aiming at keeping people guessing up to the end in order to make the event more attractive,†said USPA chairman Joseph Kabuleta.
Tycoon Mike Ezra has sponsored the gala, dubbed a celebration of sport and entertainment. Over 600 invited guests are expected to grace the occasion where they will party and make merry.
“We have some of the greatest musicians to make the function perfect. Jose Chameleon, Ragga Dee, Chagga, Emperor Orlando among others.â€
